Wanna get the boot? Or any of my other artworks?

The art on display in my studio is constantly changing. Right now (early winter, 2007) I'm focussing mainly on the ceramic boots and denim jackets. Adornments and accessories for the jackets, and other types of art ceramics ("Sleeping Cat" furniture and musical items) show up on my worktable on a regular basis.

    Boots

I create herds of ten boots at a time. No two are alike. Although I do have my favorites, I'm constantly varying colors, patterns, and design elements.

I began producing the line of cowboy boots pictured on this website in early 2005, basing my designs on actual vintage hand-tooled boots. The photos on this site show only a few of the dozens of styles and color combinations.

An "off-the-shelf" boot from the currently available collection at the time of your order is $275 plus insured shipping.

This is a special price, valid through Dec 31. Starting in early 2006 the boots will be $325.

This price is for "off-the-shelf" boots. I'll do my best to meet your color and style requests.

If you'd like to special order a boot (for example, to create a ceramic sculpture of one of your favorite vintage boots) prices are $350 and up, depending on design requirements.

    Embellished Clothing

Jackets are constantly evolving, some straight out of my own fancy and some from clients' particular design requests. Most of my jacket customers are in the California Central Coast region, and they come to the studio to see and try on the jackets.

I use a variety of jackets for my work. In some cases I buy new, high-quality white cotton denim jackets and dye them my own vivid colors. Others are new and vintage Levi-type jackets.

Each jacket is named and signed, and comes with an elegant, individually handmade ornament designed to enhance the style and essence of each jacket. (click here for an example) Jackets are cold-water washable. Iron inside out.

Jackets currently in the collection are $325.

Custom designs and commissioned jackets start at $375.

Special custom projects are welcome. I'm happy to work with you to create something uniquely yours. You can send me photos or information about your specific motifs, design content, and colors that you especially love.
